I'm going to tell you everything you need to know to do your own personal finances. Hey, it's Jon from Financial MD, and welcome to today's Didactic Minute.
Now I'm laying out here in the hammock down by the lake and getting reflective. I'm beginning to think about my kids. What are my boys doing? I hear them playing around. Now we're at Grandma and Papa's house. Don't be impressed; this isn't my place. But I've taught them to do certain things – to mow the lawn, to clean stuff up around the house, and teaching them to do with excellence. And I began to think, what are we doing at Financial MD? Have I equipped young doctors to really go off into the world and do it themselves? No, I don't think I have.
Now I think I started to, but here's what I want to promise you with these Didactic Minute videos. I will teach you everything you need to know to do your own personal finances. That's right – this is a certified financial planner who makes money doing this who would love to have you as a client but know that I'm not going to. We can't help everybody. If every single doctor in the world wanted to work with us, we obviously couldn't do it. And there's some of you that can and should do it yourself and there's some of you that want to hire somebody else to do it. Great, but this message is for those of you do-it-yourselfers out there. We will hold nothing back. I'm committing to you now. I'm not going to refrain from saying anything that we know about personal finances. There's not going to be a bunch of free stuff and then a few things that you have to pay for and work with us to know about. We'll tell you everything.
So, follow these videos. I'm going to tell you everything that we talk to our clients about. Every process, every step, every tip, everything I've learned, I'll share it with you. And if you want to go take it and do it yourself, fantastic! More power to you. You should. But if you want to hire somebody else to do it, great. If it's us, great. Either way, stay tuned. We'll give you some good stuff.
It's Jon from Financial MD, we'll see you next time.
